At Karyashala Foundation, we believe every skill learned and every child educated is not just progress for one life, but a ripple of change that empowers families, communities, and generations to come.

Our Story: Nurturing Talent, Creating Opportunities.

Our Story

Karyashala Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful realization—that many women have the potential to build, grow, and lead, but lack access to the right guidance and opportunities. What began as an initiative to bridge this gap soon evolved into a structured ecosystem focused on skill development, entrepreneurship, and community-driven growth. With a vision to create real impact, we empower women to move beyond ideas and take confident steps towards financial independence. Over time, our reach has expanded beyond women to children and communities—creating opportunities for learning, growth, and transformation at every level.

Our Vision

To create a society where women and children have equal access to opportunities, resources, and support—enabling them to grow, lead, and thrive independently.

Our Mission

To empower women and communities by providing structured learning, skill development, mentorship, and growth opportunities that enable financial independence, entrepreneurship, and long-term impact.

Our Core Values

Skill Development: Equipping individuals with practical knowledge and tools for success.
Education for All: Ensuring access to learning opportunities for marginalized communities.
Women Empowerment: Promoting financial independence and leadership opportunities for women.
Community Building: Fostering networks that encourage support, growth, and mentorship.
Sustainable Impact: Creating initiatives that produce long-lasting change in society.

Our Journey: Empowering Communities, One Step at a Time

2019 – The Beginning of Our Journey

Karyashala Foundation was established in August 2019 with a mission to empower women and unskilled individuals. We launched our first skill‑development workshop in October 2019 in Gurugram, offering training in sewing, embroidery, housekeeping, knitting, crochet, and jewellery making. What began as year‑long courses has now evolved into focused 1–1.5 month programs to ensure better participation and retention.

2020 – Expanding Community Support

In March 2020, we organized our first free health camp, a service we now conduct 2–3 times a year. Around the same time, we began donating school books and storybooks to children, opened Gurgaon's first "Community Library" and have made a continuous effort that runs throughout the year. By July 2020, we launched our first online seminar series to help educated women leverage social media for personal and professional growth—now a quarterly initiative.

2021 – Building Sustainable Livelihoods

November 2021 marked the launch of our sustainable livelihood program, training women in eco‑friendly crafts and products. The first six‑month program was conducted in Bagpat district, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with local authorities. Today, this initiative continues at our Gurgaon center.

2022 – Awareness & Environmental Action

In April 2022, we began a waste‑management awareness campaign with three government schools, visiting them on alternate months. Later, in August 2022, we hosted our first plantation drive, planting over 500 saplings—an activity we continue annually whenever possible.

2023 – Strengthening Financial Independence

March 2023 saw the launch of our first community development project focused on financial literacy for women. This program has since become a regular part of our efforts to support women’s economic empowerment.

2024 – Education for Every Child

In March 2024, we began teaching children of migrant workers aged 6–12 who are unable to attend government schools due to domicile restrictions. This initiative ensures that every child, regardless of background, receives access to foundational education.
